2022 Created a 20'x30' mural, "Buffalo Unbound" on Hertel Avenue in Buffalo, NY.
2010 Awarded "Artist/Entrepreneur of the Year" by Arts Council of Western New York
2008 Moved New Buffalo Graphics to a freestanding gallery shop at 1417 Hertel Avenue.
Created a series of prints for The Botanical Gardens of Buffalo & Erie County.
2006 Exhibit: “Homegrown / Intimate Food Portraits” at Insite Gallery, Buffalo, NY
2005 Opened Local Color Gallery in the heart of the Elmwood Village, Buffalo, NY
2003 Launched NewBuffaloGraphics.com into cyberspace, representing a selection of new and past work.
2001 Release of new series of prints entitled “Riding the Bull Home”
2000 Exhibit: “New Paintings” Buffalo Arts Studio, Buffalo, NY
2000 25 year Retrospective Exhibit of Posters created for Cultural Organizations in Western New York. Arts Council of Buffalo and Erie County
2000 Designed and painted “Bison” for HERD@BUFFALO project / Burchfield-Penney and Roswell Park public works project
1999 Exhibit of Monotypes at Avenue Art, Buffalo, NY
1998 Received the Osborn Award for Communicator of the Year from the Art Directors and Communicators of Buffalo
1996 Exhibited “INK 6”, a limited edition of prints created for Just Buffalo Literary Center in the print corridor of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery
1995 “Just Buffalo at Just Pasta”: Exhibition of 20 years of Posters and Broadsides created for Just Buffalo Literary Center, Buffalo, NY
1994 Exhibit of Mixed Media work entitled “BARDO STATES” at the Jewish Center of Buffalo, NY
1993 Prints and Mixed Media exhibit at the Calumet Arts Cafe, Buffalo, NY
1992 “ORIGINS”: A commissioned series of serigraphs created for the Jewish Center of Buffalo, NY. Work is on permanent display.
1983 “BUFFALO BILLBOARDS”, an installation of 70 billboards in and around the city of Buffalo, NY. The images were based on a series of original designs which were also created for posters and t-shirts.
A summary of the artist’s education includes:
Bachelor of Arts degree, 1968, plus 2 years of graduate school with teaching assistantship in American Studies, SUNY at Buffalo.
Apprenticeship and working relationship with various San Francisco Poster Artists circa 1970-73.
Master class with Milton Glaser at the School of Visual Arts, NYC, 1992.
